nice one...Bird Song went stratospheric in summer 72...also, Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, how many times did they play there?

Couple times in '68, this one in '72, summer of '79......

Bird Song certainly blasted off in the summer of '72, but you know the band just did in general. Keith settled in, that helped Billy, the whole thing just escalated. They were easily the best band on the planet for the second half of 1972 imo.
We're lucky these recordings exist in the first place, to say nothing of how they all here for us..

It was still kicking in 1978. I was living in Palo Alto and my roomie and I caught the end of the Cali tour. Jerry's voice was in frog heaven. Sacramento and then Stockton. Yehah.
